Nearly ashaming to post this match. playing a performancerating of 17.2 we really should hide somewhere :) With big respect i entered the table with peter. At my last match with Shimon i had no chance. We played a 5 point match and he didnt made a single error.
He joined the double consulting without a partner. we started the match knowing he plays a lot better then us. funny thing is that he didnt played sooo strong. actually he played a performance i usually play but we played much worse then normal.
Most interessting positions during the match:
Our fist blunder. i think i convinced peter to do so. he was about to make the right move. We had the choice of giving one direct hit or 2 inderect hits with weakening our position. i thought keeping the 3-bock on 6,7 and 8 is stronger even when he hit us. It took us some time to decide to do the wrong move. Equity loss -0.224

Again a move we though long about. Maybe we shouldnt think and just play :) the only danger was a double 5 which would kill us. i thought moving from 7 gives us more possibilitys to close the house. what we missed to see was the disaster roll we of course rolled at next roll. a double 4.

He again danced. i thought it is too good to double and still think it is when i look at it.

after rolling double 4 we got into this position. a shot at 15 and a good chance to get him at our 3.
i still thought we are big favorit but i was totally wrong. still i am in trouble to accept that Shimon is favorit in this position. Our chance to win is just 45% with a 24% chance of gammon. Therefor our double a blunder.

right after the double the next dangerous roll. closing the 1 was a easy decission. again a double 5 would be a disaster. and double 3 dangerous but any other roll would be no big deal. Our checker on 16 is just save for now and give us the chance to hit him on 15. the only explanation i can see to justify the move as blunder is the danger of double 4. equity loss -0.090.

5 antijokers in a raw not rolling a 6. i slowly lost confidence in the game. but at last moment we rolled it and made a gammon. what a nightmare game with a good end :)

interessting blunder here. i am aware of the importence of the 20 spot. but more importend then a hit ?

legendary... sensational... unbelievebal crazy joker peter rolled here :) and he didnt even see how big the joker was in the first moment. i told him close the 6 and he said "what?... ah ... oh ... year :) this joker changed the game from an equity of -0.647 to +0.614. a real magic roll.

We finally got into this position. 77.5 % winchance and our double is a blunder. well he could go for the match taking the double and double back to 8. he didnt took the chance and droped which was a blunder too.

6:1in front and we still dont play really confident. i never would do this blunder under normal circumstances :)

that this double here is a blunder makes me wonder. we where even thinking about if it is maybe too good to double. winchance 63% gammonchance 34% !!!

well ... considering the coming nightmarerolls the double before was not so good.
at the score of 6:1 we got into this situation. he doubled back to 4. peter wanted to drop but i insisted to take. the take was correct but he rolled a 3/1 and i was sorry that i convinced peter to take. if we get gammoned its over.

but it came different. god thx he coulnt escape from our house and found himself in a difficulty situation and played a blunder. equity loss -0.120

we escaped and won the match. we kicked out Shimon !!! lucky but we did. when we can win against Shimon then we can win against everybody :) ready for round 3
