A very nice warmup match with satisfying performance from both of us.
Luck was on my side.

Most interessting Positions during the match:

3th move in the match a blunder. equity loss -0.124. i thought it doesnt matter much which checker i save and if i can close the 7 it would be pretty strong.
correct move 8/7 7/5 6/5

he danced and i felt pretty confident with my position and doubled. kind of borderline but still considered as error equity loss -0.040
correct decision no double/take
________________________________________________________________________
with a gammonchance close to zero i thought i better play save. why i should take any risk in this position?
considered as error equity loss -0.033
correct move 6/off (2)
_______________________________________________________________________
not a single error from costas in the first game. but now he started to feel over confident :)
double error equity loss -0.061
correct decision no double/take
_______________________________________________________________________
my second and last blunder in the match. similar to my first blunder i dont see the need for taking any risk. if i hit both checkers and he rolls a double 2 i may get in troubles. its anyway a nice gammonposition with the save move too. still analize say blunder equity loss -0.103
correct move 14/10 3/2

1 comment:

  1. The key to understand the 1st position is the double shot from the split checkers (double shot is worse than single shot).

The key to understand the last position is Black's crashed board: with only 3 points made, being hit is no danger at all. Even a back game (in the unlikely case Black rolls 22) is weak with a crashed board and no timing.
